Woman gets 15 years in deputy crash case

Posted: Updated:

Brittany Miles, the woman found guilty on some charges in a deadly chase and crash, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Miles is a former exotic dancer who was found guilty of battery on a law enforcement officer from an incident in May 2011.

She dragged a deputy with her truck while trying to escape a DUI stop. That deputy was seriously injured. And after that, authorities say she hit and killed a motorcyclist in Hernando County.

She was also convicted of DUI and escaping and fleeing a law enforcement officer.

She's still facing vehicular homicide charges for the incident that killed the motorcyclist.
