A 51-year-old Tampa man facing a slew of charges including two counts of sexual battery made his first appearance before a judge Saturday morning.
Frankie Valintino Aguilar Jr. was denied bond. He was arrested earlier this week by Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies after a search warrant was executed at his Berkley Dr. residence.
In addition to the sexual battery charges Aguilar Jr. is charged with five counts of battery, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, two counts of false imprisonment, five counts of possession of a destructive device and drug charges.
According to a HCSO report an adult female contacted deputies following an incident with the suspect on November 21st. The victim told deputies that Aguilar Jr. engaged her in a verbal confrontation and when she attempted to leave his home he grabbed her by the hair and forced her into a bedroom.
At that point the suspect allegedly pounded the woman's head against the floor and punched her in the face. Aguilar Jr. also pointed a black handgun at the victim and threatened to kill her.
Investigators say the assault continued and the suspect forced her to perform sex acts. She suffered a broken nose and other injuries the report states.
When the search warrant was executed at Aguilar Jr.'s home the handgun described by the victim was recovered. Deputies also confiscated five destructive devices located in a locked room of the residence.
Members of HCSO's Bomb Squad were also dispatched to the scene and removed the devices. Investigators say they could have been ignited by a fuse.
Deputies also found cocaine inside the home. After he was read his rights Aguilar Jr. admitted that the destructive devices had been in the home for approximately two years.
They also found video of a sexual assault different from the one reported by the victim. The video shows Aquilar Jr. becoming physically violent with an adult female before sexually assaulting her.
Investigators say the suspect tasered the woman no fewer than five times on the video. Aquilar Jr. also is shown threatening the victim with a handgun similar to the one recovered by deputies.
Inside the home deputies found driver's licenses belonging to two victims they have identified and four others of victims they have not yet identified.
Detectives are working to identity those women and they believe other victims of Aquilar Jr. exist. If you have any information about this case or the suspect's activities please contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
The investigation continues.
