Deputies were dispatched to the Sunshine Mobile Home Park at approximately 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -
Two people were seriously injured early Saturday morning during a shooting at the Sunshine Mobile Home Park near St. Petersburg.
Rosa A. Pereira and David H. Sharp were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. in front of Lot 208 at the development located in the 7400 block of 46th Ave. North.
According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report the victims were standing in the carport of their home when they were shot. Investigators say the shooting is not a random event.
They believe Pereira, 42, and Sharp, 46, knew their assailants.
Detectives spent most of the morning at the scene collecting evidence and talking to potential witnesses. No suspect description is available at this time.
