LAKE WALES (FOX 13) -
A Polk County woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder for trying to poison her husband, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Deputies arrested 37-year-old Beth Dickison Richards Thursday night.
Detectives say she crushed Trazodone pills and put them in a sandwich her husband ate. Gregory Richards went to Lake Wales Medical Center where he was treated for nausea and dizziness, and released.
Beth Richards admitted to detectives that she poisoned her husband, the sheriff's office said.
She is charged with attempted first degree murder, poisoning food with the intent to kill, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
