The countdown is on for Saturday afternoon's huge football showdown at the Georgia Dome. Georgia takes on Alabama for the SEC title, but the the pre-game parties are already in full swing.
Before the Atlanta Falcons claimed victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, fans of both teams started filling up the RV lot at the Georgia Dome-- all of them hoping for a big win.
"We hadn't missed but one game in the last six years," said Alabama fan Gordon Rickles, who came in from Birmingham.
A day before kickoff, Rickles is having a ball wheeling around the RV lot in his street legal electric 'Tidemobile.'
"We'll drive it everywhere. We are going downtown in it after a while to the Hyatt Regency. It's a whole lot easier to get around and they let us parking where we want to," said Rickles.
Many of the fans may not want to admit it, but the fellowship and camaraderie is just as important as the game. Bulldogs and Crimson Tide fans alike are even nice to each other at the RV lot.
One of the big draws for the SEC Championship is fellowship and food. Tommy Seibert and his crew arrived at 4:30 a.m. on Friday. Seibert says he has six tickets for Saturday's game.
Even the SEC is contributing to the fan frenzy! The SEC is hosting its FanFare at the Georgia World Congress Center from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Admission is $10 for adults, and children 12 and under can get in at no charge on Friday.
Kickoff for the SEC Championship game is 4 p.m. on Saturday.
