ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -
A 20-year-old man was killed Friday morning when he was hit by a car in St. Petersburg.
The car was driven by Jason Hawkins, who hit John Sullo while he was walking in the street in the 10600 block of 4th Street North.
According to police, moments before the crash an officer even warned Sullo to stop walking in the middle of the street because it was dangerous.
Officers tried to give Sullo CPR at the scene, and he was taken to Bayfront Medical Center after the crash. He was pronounced dead just after 2 a.m.
No other details were immediately available.
