TAMPA (FOX 13) -
They may be known for
their wings and waitresses, but Hooters is now taking up the cause for our
military.
The Clearwater-based
company is hoping many will participate in "Operation Calendar Drop," where
folks can purchase a Hooters calendar and send it overseas to a soldier.
"Anyone can walk into
the local Hooters and purchase a calendar for $12.99," said Taryn Walker, Ms.
April.
Hooters takes care of
shipping, and you can attach a thank you note along with the calendar. A group
of Hooters girls joined us on Good Day Tampa Bay Thursday morning, saying it was
an honor to be included in the program.
"It's a great cause,
and the military loves it," Walker said.
