A wild chase through Pasco County started on a golf course in Tarpon Springs and ended with one man's arrest.
According to deputies, Abraham Andres Luna was seen running naked Monday evening around Tarpon Springs Golf Course. Deputies have no idea why he was not wearing clothes.
But deputies say he went to a nearby 7-Eleven store at 1324 U.S. 19 in Holiday, and then assaulted a store employee around 4 a.m., fleeing the area in a GMC Savana.
Deputies say they then chased Luna up U.S. 19. He was going the wrong way in the southbound lanes, and at one point, he sideswiped a deputy's patrol car.
After being stopped, Luna got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, deputies say. The deputies, however, ran after him and were able to place him under arrest.
He faces several charges, including battery and aggravated fleeing to elude.
It's unclear why the man was naked, or why he was running on the golf course.
The investigation continues Tuesday.
