The Tampa Bay area's so-called "Mystery Monkey" will be staying right here.
After a long spell on the run, the monkey was finally caught last month, and there were questions about what would happen to it.
Wildlife trapper Vernon Yates has been taking care of the monkey since it was captured, and he said he's sending it to the facility Wild Things in Dade City.
The monkey, which Yates named Cornelius, will transfer there this week. All the paperwork has been filled out, he said.
Wild Things already has several macaques, and it's likely Cornelius would even find a mate.
