DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -
Residents in a DeKalb County neighborhood had a rude awakening on Monday morning when a vehicle drove into their home.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Rose Ridge Drive as a man was backing out of his driveway. He says his vehicle, which appeared to be a minivan, malfunctioned and went flying down his neighbor's driveway into a home. The driver then went forward and drove into the home next door.
"It took me a while to figure out how he did this. And then, finally kind of pieced it together that he actually did this in reverse, at least into the neighbor's house. Still don't quite know why he decided to go forward into mine. It is what it is," said neighbor Scott Youmans, whose house was hit.
There are two large holes in both of the homes. The driver apologized for the incident.
No one was injured.
