Parts of the Bay area were under freeze warnings Monday morning, as the week kicked off with some of the coldest temperatures of the season so far.
Early Monday morning, northern counties saw temperatures around the freezing mark, but temperatures are expected to get warmer around the area this week, FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber said.
"A high pressure system will move east, and that will warm things up into the upper 70s as we head into the week," Weber said.
Hernando County and Citrus County were enjoying frigid temperatures overnight, though. In Tampa, the temperature was in the mid-40s.
But highs were expected to reach the mid-70s, and by Wednesday of this week, they will approach the 80 mark.
