Lacava, 30, was already on felony probation at the time of his latest arrest. He is being held without bond at the Pinellas County Jail.
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -
A convicted felon already on probation made his first appearance before a judge on Saturday to face lewd and lascivious battery charges.
Jeffrey Joseph Lacava, 30, was denied bond by a Pinellas County Circuit Court judge.
According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report the alleged victim is a 14-year-old female known to the suspect. Lacava was arrested Friday without incident at his Clearwater home and transported to the Pinellas County Jail where he remains.
He was also charged with violating the terms of his probation. The suspect was placed on community supervise in September for a conviction out of Pinellas County on grand theft and drug charges.
Investigators say Lacava's new charges stem from four separate incidents that occurred in October. The suspect's activities came to the attention of PCSO's Crimes against Children Unit after the victim's sister reported the crimes.
Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
