BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

Two people were injured Friday morning in an early morning shooting in Bradenton.

Deputies say Skyla Cowsert and Jewery Thomas were walking along 60th Avenue Drive when an unknown person shot them just before 5 a.m.

Deputies said the pair's car had broken down, and then Thomas got into an argument with a man. Cowsert was shot once; Thomas was shot seven times.

They were taken to the hospital to be treated.

As for the shooter, there is little information on a suspect. Deputies say the shooter was a male, but that's all they know.

If you have any information, contact the Manatee County Sheriff's office.
