Job opening: Broadcast engineer

BROADCAST ENGINEER (Full Time Regular): Responsibilities include the maintenance, repair and operation of all Production related equipment and systems for daily newscasts and other studio or remote events. This includes audio, floor directing, jib/studio cameras, graphics, studio lighting, set design, master control and teleprompter. Experience with Sony ELC newscasts as well as an understanding of Master Control iTX systems a plus. Minimum three years' News/Production experience in a top 20 market. Experience also requires component level repair and preventive maintenance of broadcast systems. Additionally, IT experience within a television station with knowledge including networks, computer knowledge, switches, routers, security devices, IT based phone systems, network wiring and other devices and systems that may cross-over between IT and television broadcasting. Associate degree or equivalent technical and IT experience required. A minimum of five years' maintenance and repair in a broadcast environment with an IT infrastructure is a must. Experience with digital, automated, HD television stations is a requirement. Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team.
