NJ Transit officials say all but one rail line are now fully or partially restored.

Trains resumed service Monday on the North Jersey Coast line between Bay Head and New York City and Hoboken.

The line had been out of service since October 28.

The Gladstone Branch remains suspended.

Extensive delays were reported soon after trains began rolling Monday morning.

The damage to the North Jersey Coast line line was so severe it had several boats and cargo containers wedged onto a drawbridge that the line crosses near South Amboy, and a bridge over Raritan Bay was shifted by the storm surge.

Officials said service between Long Branch and New York are now operating on a regular schedule though some trains may be canceled.

Service between Bay Head and Long Branch will operate on a regular schedule except for some trains to and from Hoboken that will not run.

Regular weekday service resumed Monday between Trenton and New York.  Certain New York bound evening trains that make stops between Rahway and New York will be canceled.
