TAMPA (FOX 13) -
One box at a time, FOX 13, Sweetbay and Feeding America
Tampa Bay are teaming up for the Box Out Hunger Campaign.
Each $10 box purchased is donated to a needy family in
the area. Last year, about 18,000 boxes were purchased. This year, we're hoping
for more than that.
Inside each box are non-perishable items: Green beans,
cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, rice, chicken noodle soup, oatmeal
and canned chicken breast.
Typically, a box feeds a family of four for about three
days over the holidays.
