TAMPA (FOX 13) -

A crew of U.S. Air Force Reservists were welcomed home from deployment on Monday.

The servicemen and women of the Air Force's 927th Air Refueling Wing returned home to MacDill Air Force Base after three months serving in Southwest Asia. Reservists of the 927th worked on maintaining and refueling warplanes in that area.

The crew returned home as many Americans observed Veteran's Day.

"You think about the hardships they go through over there. You don't really know what's going on, what's going on through their minds. So you try to support them any way you can," said military wife Cynthia Garcia.

The crew was welcomed home to a tarmac packed with loved ones on Monday afternoon. The gathering was a snapshot of patriotism on the Veteran's Day observance.

"It's not just a day off. It's more than that. It's people down range, getting shot at, dying, sleeping in fox holes. It's not just a day off. You need to step back and remember those that fought and are still fighting," said U.S. Air Force Reserve Tech Sergeant Michael Coates.

The entire crew of the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 927th safely returned home to the United States following their deployment.
