The New York Police Department had a suspect in custody Saturday night, within six hours after the victims were found.

Police and firefighters were called to a blaze around 4:30 p.m. at a 10th-floor apartment on Park Avenue and 132nd Street. They extinguished the small fire and found the 55-year-old woman with stab wounds to her torso and the 32-year-old man with wounds in the torso and head.

He's in critical condition.
