
Authorities in Pinellas County are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down a hit-and-run driver who sent a 16-year-old Safety Harbor girl to the hospital.
The incident occurred Friday night at approximately 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of 10th Ave. North and 7th St. North in the Lincoln Highlands subdivision.
According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report Tiara Craddock was walking along the roadway with several friends when she was hit by a motorcycle heading east on 7th St. North.
The teen was airlifted by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver failed to stop to attend to the injured girl. No suspect description is available at this time. Several pieces of broken plastic - blue in color- were found at the scene.
