Zach Bonner's story makes big screen debut

VALRICO (FOX 13) -

He started at the age of 6, just wanting to help Hurricane Charley victims. Zach Bonner walked around his Valrico neighborhood with his red wagon, collecting water.

That quickly turned into a desire to do more.

Now at almost 15 years old, Zach's story has become an inspirational movie. It opened Friday in Tampa.

The Little Red Wagon is from the director of "Rudy" and "Hoosiers."

It shares Zach's journey as he walked from Tampa to Washington, DC, and then later across the country. He always has the same mission, to bring awareness to homelessness.

Two movie-goers walked out of an evening showing of Little Red Wagon at the Veterans 24, with tears in their eyes. They gave the movie two thumbs up

Zach plans to continue his philanthropy and will spend his 15th birthday handing out supplies to homeless teens in Philly.
