A little girl's birthday wish is making a lot of other kids very happy, and she didn't have to wait to blow out the candles on the cake to make it come true.
We found a very inspiring "What's Right with Tampa Bay" from the heart of a child.
Seven-year-old Jasmine Crew wanted the typical things any child covets for a birthday: a party with best friends, lots of games, and more presents than a little girl can carry home.
Here's the thing: Jasmine didn't carry them home. Her parents made a detour to All Children's Hospital. Jasmine's birthday wish? To donate all the presents from her party to kids in the hospital.
"I feel like Santa Claus. I feel really happy because all the children would be happy with all the new toys," she said.
How did Jasmine become so inspired to give? She just happened to watch a show on the Disney Channel.
"I saw a girl and she had a lot of stuff. She didn't want a lot of stuff for her birthday," Jasmine said.
Her mom Liz Crew is very proud.
"I was very proud of her, and she's never changed her mind on the idea of doing it. And it was pretty easy for her actually. It never phased her and just makes her daddy and me very proud," Liz said.
Turns out Jasmine could not have picked a better place to donate her toys, according to Kristin Maier, who is the director of the Child Life Department at All Children's.
"The children who come here usually un-expectedly. It's very rarely planned, so they don't have a lot of comforts of home," Maier said.
