Thousands of Bay Area families will not have enough to eat this holiday season, so the FOX 13 Care Force has again teamed up with Sweetbay Supermarkets for a food drive called "BOX OUT Hunger."
Customers will be able to purchase pre-packaged boxes of food for $10 and then place the boxes in a drop-off bin near the front door, or they can take them with to donate to their church or favorite charity. The food in the boxes left at Sweetbay will be donated to a charity called "Feeding America."
All of the food will stay in our community and be given to local food banks including Metropolitan Ministries.

Over 80 Bay Area Sweetbay stores are participating in the program. Look for displays near the checkout aisles.
The BOX OUT Hunger campaign will run from the beginning of November through the end of December.
The bad economy means more families are in need, especially during the holidays. Please help the FOX 13 Care Force and Sweetbay Supermarkets BOX OUT Hunger and make a difference in our community.
