WINTER HAVEN (FOX 13) -
A Winter Haven man is in jail, charged with stabbing and severely injuring another man outside a bar Thursday night.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Robert Gaskin, Jr. turned himself in.
The stabbing happened just before midnight at Hot Shots bars, at 1300 3rd Street SW.
The victim, 47-year-old James Jackson, is in critical but stable condition at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
There is no word on what led to the altercation; the sheriff's office says Jackson was stabbed multiple times.
Gaskin is charged with attempted first-degree murder.
