Tennis brought a Clearwater couple together. She owns a tennis store; he loves to play, and shop!
Kim Cashman and Dave King started playing mixed doubles together as a team a little over a year ago. They have yet to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, but they already celebrate their first national title.
Kim and Dave won the National Family Tennis Championship in the married couple division. Dave calls his speed and competitiveness his strengths, along with one more thing.
"My strengths are having Kim on my team," he said.
Kim likes to strategize. She figures out what a player likes and gives them very little.
"So let's say your forehand is just awesome, I'm not going to give you a lot of forehands cause I'll never win that way. I like the thinking aspect of it," she explained.
Dave King likes to joke he married Kim for her tennis so they could play married mixed doubles. Kim Cashman appreciates the two of them simply enjoy doing so much together.
Their passion for tennis makes this marriage a match truly made in heaven.
