A Seffner man has been arrested in connection with the death of his wife, whose body was found inside a burned out car last month.
Christopher Belcher, 43, was arrested in Greenville, South Carolina, at a family member's house.
According to an arrest affidavit, witnesses told investigators that Belcher and his wife, 43-year-old Gwendolyn Belcher, got into a physical fight the night of Saturday September 15th. The next day, he was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
Later on Sunday, her body was found in her car, a black Nissan Maxima. The car had been set on fire with Gwendolyn Belcher inside it.
Belcher is awaiting extradition back to Hillsborough County where he will face second-degree murder and arson charges.
