According to the Associated Press, Superstorm Sandy has social media in overdrive. People are flocking to Facebook, Instagram and other sites to keep up with friends and family affected by the storm.
The report says as of Monday afternoon, the "hashtag "Sandy" had 233,000 photos posted onInstagram, the mobile photo-sharing service owned by Facebook. "Hurricanesandy," meanwhile, had 100,000 photos and "Frankenstorm" had 20,000 and growing."
Facebook's talk meter ranked Sandy related topics at 7.1, where 10 generates the most buzz, says the AP.
