We have the 'silver alert' when a senior is missing or endangered, and 'amber alerts' for kids. Now we have 'blue alerts' for when a law enforcement officers.
Blue alerts will now be issued in Florida when a law enforcement officer is injured or killed and the assailant is still at large. So the best description of the suspect and vehicle, if there is one, will be sent out via email, text, to the media, on the radio, and on those highway signs.
The alerts the same network and resources as the silver and amber alerts that we have now.
Social media will play a huge role too, like Facebook and twitter.
