BLAINE, MN -

The Tampa Bay Rowdies lost the first leg of the NASL Soccer Bowl Finals 2-0 to the Minnesota Stars Saturday night.

The loss snaps the Rowdies eight game unbeaten streak, as well as puts them in the hole for the second and final leg next Saturday at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg.

Minnesota forward Amani Walker scored in the 67th minute to break a 0-0 tie and Martin Nunez added a goal in stoppage time to give the Stars the 2-0 win. Saturday night's result means the Rowdies will have to win by two goals in the second leg just to force overtime.
