TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Tampa police are investigating an early morning shootout at a gentleman's club on 50th Street.

It happened at the Play Pen Gentlemen's Club just before 5 a.m. According to investigators, three people walked into the club and robbed the cashier and another man at gunpoint.

But when the suspects left the club, the man who had been robbed grabbed a rifle, and along with a security guard, who was also armed, opened fire on the suspects. A shootout ensued, and the guard was even grazed in the arm, police said.

Police say the suspects, described as black males in their 20's, left in a silver or gray Chevy Impala.

It's unclear if any were injured in the shootout. The investigation continues Monday.
