Authorities say a southwest Florida woman was injured when she crashed into a school bus.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the 64-year-old woman was driving in northern Manatee County Tuesday afternoon when she was distracted by her dog. She steered into the path of the bus, causing the collision.
The Bradenton Herald reports that the bus driver tried to steer out of the way, but the car hit the left side of the bus. No injuries were reported to the bus driver or the five children on board.
FHP reports the injured woman will be charged with failure to maintain her lane
