TARPON SPRINGS (FOX 13) -
Detectives in Tarpon Springs have arrested a 35-year-old man
in an armed robbery from over the weekend.
Two teens were held at gunpoint while walking along South
Walton Avenue on Saturday night.
One of the teens tried to grab the gun from the man and was
shot in the side, police said. The suspect dropped his phone during the
altercation and that helped detectives find him.
They arrested Elvin Joel Velez Pacheco at his home in
Clearwater. He is charged with attempted murder and attempted robbery.
Detectives are still looking for the gun.
