Power outage affects nearly 3,000 in St. Pete

Nearly 3,000 Progress Energy customers lost power Wednesday night.

It happened in the area of 4th Street and 22nd Avenue North.

There were reports of downed wires in the area.

Crews worked to repair the lines, and Progress Energy says everyone's power was restored by 10:30 p.m.
