Two-vehicle crash in Tampa sends one to the hospital

Several people were injured – one seriously – in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Tampa.

One occupant had to be extricated before being transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa for an evaluation.

The others suffered minor injuries.

According to a Tampa Fire Rescue report the incident occurred just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of Spruce St. and Westshore Blvd.

The official cause of the crash is still under investigation.
