Police say Ochoa, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene early Saturday morning.
SARASOTA (FOX 13) -
A 31-year-old man was killed early Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on the John Ringling Causeway in Sarasota.
Ronald Ochoa was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1:30 a.m.
According to a Sarasota Police Department report the 2005 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving struck the rear of a 2010 Nissan Sentra. Four people in that vehicle were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told investigators that Ochoa had been traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic just prior to the collision.
It is not yet known if alcohol played a factor in the incident.
