A 35-year-old St. Petersburg man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man during a bar fight.
It happened at the Octave Bar at 661 Central Avenue early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the suspect, William Wasel, and 35-year-old James Langner of Tampa got into a fight after Wasel was arguing with a woman.
Police said Wasel punched Langner in the face, and then Langner started punching Wasel, who eventually pulled out the knife.
A bar employee grabbed a chair and forced Wasel out the door, and Langner followed them. That's when Wasel took the four-inch blade and stabbed Langner in the chest, police said.
Langner was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where he is recovering with non-life threatening injuries.
Wasel, who is charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault, was also taken to the hospital with facial injuries suffered during the scuffle with bar patrons.
