TAMPA (FOX 13) -
A 24-year-old Tampa woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 near the Pasco/Hillsborough County line.
Hilda Yamilet Suarez was pronounced dead at the scene just before 1 p.m.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Suarez was heading south in her 1996 Chevrolet Blazer when one of the tires blew. The driver lost control of the vehicle as it veered across the paved shoulder, a grass shoulder and into a line of trees.
The Blazer came to a stop when the driver side impacted two trees. It is not yet known if alcohol played a factor and Suarez was wearing her seatbelt.
The investigation continues.
