LAKELAND (FOX 13) -
Lakeland philanthropist Jay Troxel has
died at the age of 95.
He passed away in his home on
Wednesday, according to an online obituary.
Troxel was known for his numerous
donations to community organizations over the years. His gifts have totaled in
the millions, and have gone toward organizations like Volunteers in
Service to the Elderly, Lighthouse Ministries, Florida Southern College, and Habitat
for Humanity, among many others.
A graveside service was held this morning at
Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
