Detectives are hoping some new details will spark some tips in a murder case from 2008.
New video stills show the suspect at Fat Daddy's Bar in Dunedin prior to the robbery and murder of a 51-year-old taxi driver.
According to investigators, Yellow Cab taxi driver Jack Lagrand picked the suspect up from the bar at 1:27 a.m. The same suspect was seen in another surveillance video just a few minutes later leaving the scene of the homicide.
Lagrand's body was discovered the next morning, around 7:30 a.m., in the rear parking lot of a strip mall at 25716 U.S. Highway 19 N. Detectives believe robbery was the motive.
Detectives are also releasing additional details about the gun used in the homicide. They believe the weapon was a Makarov 9mm -- a Russian-made firearm.
"We're hoping that releasing specific information about the murder weapon may provide additional leads," explained homicide detective Thomas Dawe.
The suspect is described as a male, possibly Hispanic, approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, with a thin build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a black skull design across the upper back and skeleton hands on the front shoulders. He was also wearing dark-colored shorts.
