(Ricardo Seija)
(Clarence Williams III)Two Bay area heroes were among 26 fallen soldiers honored Monday in Missouri.
Each year, the Military Police Corps honors our fallen warriors in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., home to the Military Police Museum.
Ricardo Seija of Tampa and Clarence Williams III of Brooksville received military honors at Monday's memorial. They were killed July 8 in the same attack when an IED exploded under their armored vehicle.
Both were in the 978th military police company.
The MPC unveiled bronze markers in the soldiers' names. Hundreds of people came to honor them at the ceremony, including Williams' family.
The MPC says it's often overlooked at military ceremonies, so it created its own museum and tribute. They say the military police support all functions on the battlefield, just like other branches.
