A 40-year-old Pasco County woman and her teenage son charged with attempted murder for assaulting a Moon Lake man made their first appearance before a judge early Sunday morning.
Bobbie Joe Curtis was ordered held without bond at the Land O' Lakes Detention Center. Her son is being held at a Juvenile Assessment Center.
Fox 13 will not name the 15-year-old boy due to his age. Both suspects are also charged with one count of unlawful imprisonment, one count of grand theft auto and one count of aggravated battery.
Deputies in Pasco County are still looking for a third suspect in the case – 25-year-old Vanessa ‘Nessa' Musson. Investigators say the convicted felon is considered armed and dangerous.
According to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report the three suspects met a 44-year-old man on an Internet dating site. Last week the man asked Curtis and her son to move in with him.
Friday night deputies were dispatched to 13124 Midvale Avenue in New Port Richey, the victim's home, in response to an injured person call.
The homeowner suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Authorities have not released his name.
His 69-year-old neighbor was also assaulted by the suspects after he attempted to intervene. Investigators say one of the suspects struck him in the head with a baseball bat.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility where he was treated and released.
If you have any information on Musson's location please contact the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
