A mother manatee and her calf are starting a new journey thanks in large part to the trainers at Lowry Park Zoo.
They've been at the zoo rehabbing for about two months after being found in the Sarasota area with a neurological problem.
Volunteers helped load the manatees up with a crane and tarp.
"It gives you the feeling you've taken something wrong and made it right, helped keep the wild wild – keep it the way it's meant to be," Jennifer Galbraith said.
The mother and her calf were released back in the area where they were found, and the calf is now a health 425 pounds.
