A 37-year-old Bay area woman was struck by a car and killed while crossing a Largo street late Friday night.
Stephanie Dee Sword was pronounced dead at the scene just before midnight.
According to a Largo Police Department report the incident occurred at the intersection of East Bay Dr. and Fulton St. Sword, a Largo resident, was walking in the crosswalk when she was hit.
Investigators say the deceased did not have the pedestrian signal to cross the roadway.
Nermin Toptchiyska, a 23-year-old Clearwater woman, was not injured in the crash. She was driving a 2006 Lexus.
Police spent several hours collecting evidence at the scene and no charges have been filed.
The investigation continues.
