CLEARWATER (FOX 13) -

Detectives with the Clearwater Police Department have a mystery on their hands.

A 31-year-old woman fell to her death early Saturday morning from a ninth-story balcony at the Regatta Beach Club on Mandalay Ave.

Antoinette DeJesus was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known how she fell or why she was at the Pinellas County complex.

According to a CPD report officers and emergency service personnel were dispatched to the RBC just before 4 a.m. The deceased was found on the parking lot side of the building.

Investigators say the death appears to be an accident and is not suspicious in nature. DeJesus, who turned 31 on Friday, has had several brushes with law enforcement.

The report states she was a transient.

A search of the Florida Department of Corrections database indicates her last known address was in Oldsmar.
