Child struck, killed by car in driveway

A child was hit and killed by a car in Bradenton Thursday, authorities said.

It happened around 12:20 p.m. in the area near 34th Avenue East and 27th Street East.

The accident apparently happened in a driveway.

The child was taken to Blake Hospital and pronounced dead.

No other details about what led to the accident were released.
