SOUTH PASADENA (FOX 13) -
The body of a 69-year-old Pinellas County woman was found floating in the water behind a marina at 7500 Sun Island Dr. in South Pasadena Saturday morning.
Margaret Petrikas lived less than ½ mile away from where she was found.
According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report the docks master at the marina called 9-1-1 after finding her between two boats. Emergency service personnel from Pasadena Fire Rescue responded to the call and removed Petrikas from the water.
She was found at approximately 11 a.m.
Detectives say there were no signs of trauma to the body and the death does not appear suspicious in nature. The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct its investigation into the cause and manner of death.
Deputies say Petrikas' family is currently in Lithuania.
The investigation continues.
