SPRING HILL (FOX 13) -

Authorities arrested a pair of suspects Friday in connection with two separate bank robberies in the Bay Area.

Emanuel Joseph Knapp and Alexandria Katherine Torgerson are facing a variety of charges including robbery.

Knapp, 39, is being held without bond at the Pasco County Jail in Land O' Lakes. He is also facing a drug related ‘doctor shopping' charge.

Torgerson, 24, was booked into the Hernando County Jail where she is being held on a bond of $10,000.

According to a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report the suspects robbed the Regions Bank on Pinehurst Dr. in Spring Hill on July 27th.

On July 30th investigators in Pasco County say Knapp and Torgerson were unsuccessful when attempting to commit a similar crime in their jurisdiction. The pair attempted to rob the Hancock Bank on Little Rd. in New Port Richey.

Detectives from both counties compared notes from their respective cases and quickly identified Knapp and Torgerson as suspects.

Knapp has an extensive arrest record in the Bay area. He's served two stints in the state prison system for fraud convictions out of Pasco County.

Investigators say Torgerson drove the getaway vehicle in both incidents.
