Political star power comes to Tampa

There's a lot of political star power in Tampa for the RNC. High-profile politicians are making their way into the Forum, getting ready for another day of making their case why Mitt Romney should be the next president of the United States.

Several stopped at the Tampa Bay History Center to do interviews on the Fox and Friends morning show.

Among them were former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice,Texas governor Rick Perry, former Senator Rick Santorum, and former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty.

Pawlenty said it was going to be an honor to address the convention.

"I'm going to have some fun with President Obama's record not delivering on his promises and also make the case for why Mitt Romney should be our next president," he said.

Santorum said he was proud to address the convention yesterday because of how critical he says this election will be.

"It's an honor to be there and have the opportunity to try to influence the course of this election. It's the most important election in our country's history, I really believe that," Santorum said.

Wednesday night's keynote speaker will be vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan.

FOX 13's Craig Patrick said Ryan will need to re-introduce himself, and focus on making the argument for his Medicare plan.

Florida attorney general Pam Bondi will also address the convention, most likely to voice opposition to President Obama's health care law. Romney has repeatedly said he would repeal it, and Bondi is likely to explain why.
