TAMPA (FOX 13) -
If you're worried about traffic tie ups around town during
the RNC, you'll have another option.
A water taxi can get you where you need to go. The Tampa
Water Taxi Co. and Ricks on the River just got approval to operate the taxi
company along the heavily secured Hillsborough
River.
The service will cost $25 round trip.
"We're offering transportation for people who can not get to
their offices, transporting them from Ricks on the River, and then brining them
right here to the Sheraton Riverwalk Hotel," said Capt. Laurence Salkin of
Tampa Water Taxi Co.
When they're not taking people to and from work, the taxi service
will offer two tours daily.
