ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -

A five-year-old boy drowned Saturday night in the swimming pool of a residential motel in St. Petersburg.

Jaden Justice was transported to Bayfront Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

According to a St. Petersburg Police Department report the Mosley Motel located at 401 34th St. North was hosting a pool party when the tragic incident occurred.

A number of adults and children were in attendance when just after 9:40 p.m. Shawn Collins noticed a small child at the bottom of the pool's deep end. The motel resident was talking with the hostess of the party at the time.

Collins, 41, immediately dove into the water and pulled Jaden from the water. Two other residents performed CPR on the little boy until paramedics with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue arrived on scene.

The child and his parents reside at the motel according to the report.

The investigation continues and no charges have been filed.
