BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

A Bradenton woman was arrested on driving under the influence charges after she triggered a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

Rhonda Mackin, 62, was not injured even though her vehicle overturned in the 5000 block of 14th St. West at approximately 1:40 a.m.

The other vehicle was a Manatee County Sheriff's Office cruiser.

According to a MCSO report Deputy K. McCready was traveling north in the inside lane of 14th St. West and was about to change lanes when the incident occurred.

A witness says the Deputy activated his right turn signal and moved over to the middle lane when Mackin also moved to the middle lane without activated a turn signal.

Mackin's vehicle hit the rear quarter panel of the Deputy's cruiser causing it to spin out. Mackin's vehicle was upside down when it finally came to a stop.

Deputy McCready cut Mackin from her vehicle. A DUI investigation was conducted and Mackin was arrested and charged with DUI involving property damage.

She was booked into the Manatee County Jail and released after posting a bond of $2,000.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Mackin was also issued a citation for careless driving. Deputy McCready was not injured.
